Breakdown of Goods and Services Available for Sale on Underground Economy Servers

During the second half of 2007, bank account credentials, including account numbers and authentication information, were the most frequently advertised item observed on underground economy servers, making up 22% of all goods. This was a slight increase from 21% in the first half of 2007. The advertised price for bank account credentials varied as widely as it did in the first six months of 2007, with prices ranging from $10 to $1,000 USD, depending on the amount of funds available and the location of the account. Bank accounts that included higher balances, such as business accounts and EU accounts, were advertised for considerably more.
